Government announces increase on income tax floors

Economy Minister Amado Boudou announced a 20 percent increase of the income tax floors. The public announcement was made along with the head of the AFIP revenue office head Ricardo Echegaray, and after CGT Labour Confederation leader Hugo Moyano held a meeting with President Cristina Fern ndez de Kirchner at the Government House.

Talking to reporters, the minister stated that the measure "is a great step we are taking to enhance the situation of the workers"

Boudou also mentioned that this government decision represents "an additional boost for the Argentine economy", which is expected to grow five percent this year.
