Diplomatic Spat Over Falklands Heats Up As Prince William Lands

With Prince William kicking off Thursday a six-week U.K. military deployment in the disputed Falkland Islands, Argentina is cranking up the pressure for talks over the status of the archipelago, which the two countries fought a brief, but bloody war over 30 years ago.
In addition, the U.K. has sent one its newest and most sophisticated warships to the South Atlantic, the HMS Dauntless, stoking fierce criticism from Argentina's foreign ministry.
"More diplomacy and less arms," the ministry said in a statement Wednesday. "Argentina rejects the British attempt to militarize the conflict."
