Mike Weatherley, the Conservative Member of Parliament for Hove and Portslade, backs calls to block loans to Argentina, following increasingly aggressive rhetoric against Britain and her sovereignty over the Falkland Islands.
Early Day Motion 185 highlights the issue that Britain is providing loans, worth hundreds of millions of dollars, to Argentina through the World Bank, at a time when the Argentinean Government is deliberately stoking tensions over the sovereignty of the Falkland Islands. The Parliamentary motion calls on the Government to use its veto to block any new loans to Argentina.
